Lewis Brander will participate in the group show Edge: Where the Land Meets the Sea. The exhibition explores the vital relationship between terrestrial and marine ecosystems. Inspired by Hastings Contemporary’s location on a shingle beach, the exhibition considers the coastline as a dynamic zone of exchange, where rivers, soils and oceans converge.
Co-curated with The Land Gardeners, Edge brings together more than 40 works spanning painting, photography, film, sculpture and installation. Through art and ecological research, it examines biodiversity, regeneration, erosion, extraction and adaptation, revealing the profound interdependence of land, sea and life.
